The road to 13.1: Perception and reality
27 January 2009
I showed up at WMU to complete today’s assignment, a 3-mile run. I ended up doing 5K, because it’s just one lap more. Results:
Run #3: 3.125 miles, 35:25, 11:20/mile
While I ran, I thought about the fact that, back in May, the thought of running 3.1 miles seemed almost overwhelming. Now, it seems like a short run. Perceptions can change so easily, can’t they?
As for reality, I put electronic pen to paper this morning and registered for the Fifth Third River Bank Run, 25K edition. I’m so stoked!
