Photos: Best of the Month of May

27 October 2012

Yup, I’m still way behind on photos. Will that deter me? Nope. Will it speed me up? Eh, probably not.

You never know what you’ll find when you drive into Kalamazoo first thing in the morning. One morning, I found a bus.

I was pretty sure this wasn’t the newest addition to the Metro Transit bus fleet, so I could only assume it was what it said it was. There was no sign of the referenced girls; I presume they were sleeping in the hotel that was located directly behind me when I took this photo.

Neither of the cats is overly into being petted, but Wembley gets his moments of desperate need for attention. Sometimes, he just plants himself in your lap. Sometimes, though, he gets his wiggle on.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle — yeah!

I’m always fascinated by construction signing, especially the really important signs.

Heh-heh, heh-heh….

Yup. I’m so very mature.

The silhouettes of black cats closely resemble the actual cats.

I love that you can even see the little furs than hang down off his tummy.

It’s always good when a shelter pet gets adopted. This little guy is named Jackson. My friend Nick adopted him. He’s quite the little ball of fluff.

He’s also very curious.

If you think you could give a good home to a pet, please consider adopting a shelter pet. Shelter pets did nothing wrong to end up in the shelter, but you could do something oh-so-right by rescuing one. My girlfriend and I have two rescue cats, and there’s nothing wrong with either of them. In fact, they’re every bit as quirky as every other cat on the planet, and they even seek out ways to show us love (in Gobo’s case, those ways are always dignified).

Jess loves pinball. As part of her birthday celebration, I handed her a roll of quarters and turned her loose in Pinball Pete’s.

Make it so, Jess.
