About Darrell

Its me!

Here I am in Mackinaw City after a race! (click on the photo to take a closer look in another window)

Hi, I’m Darrell.  This is my blog and my Web page.  Thanks for visiting.

I suppose it’s customary to tell you a bit about me here.  I’m a native Hoosier (and proud of it) and a college graduate twice over — once from Alabama, and once from Western Michigan.  I’m currently employed by the Michigan Department of Transportation as a transportation planner.

When I’m not at work, I’m doing all sorts of other things — watching college sports (especially when my beloved Crimson Tide are involved), teaching Sunday school, tinkering with my stamp collection, shooting photographs, or running.  I’m a member of the Kalamazoo Area Runners and the Anniston Runners Club.  I’m also doing some writing, as time permits, for the US-12 Heritage Trail blog.

If you want to write me an e-mail message, send it to dogbert10@comcast.net.  You can also find me on various social networking sites:

It’s probably worth pointing out, for the record, that the opinions expressed in this blog — and there will be opinions — are mine alone, and are not necessarily shared by the Michigan Department of Transportation, my church, my parents, or anyone else.
