Here are some of my favourite links, plus some links to my favourite things.

AFC Ajax are my favourite football side.  They play home games in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The University of Alabama is my alma mater (well, the first one, anyway).  Crimson Tide athletics are my college sports love.

I’m a member of the American Philatelic Society.  I actually applied for a job there once.  I didn’t get it, but my work history did impress the folks there.

I’m also a member of the American Plate Number Singles Society.  No, it’s not a dating site.  The club are devoted to the collection and study of postage stamps featuring plate numbers either on the stamps themselves or on the selvage attached to the stamps.

I love signs.  I love to photograph signs.  Visiting the American Sign Museum is on the list of things I have to do at some point in my life.

Arsenal FC are my favourite English side.  I really think the English Premier League is the best league in the world.

Biggby Coffee rules.  I love the smell of Mocha Caramel in the morning.  It smells like … victory.  Biggby Bob has a rather spiffy blog, too.

The Buffalo Bills are my NFL team of choice.  I started cheering for them after the Dallas Cowboys fired Tom Landry, a man who I revered as a kid.

The Buffalo Sabres are my favourite NHL team.  When I started watching hockey, Pat LaFontaine was playing for the Sabres.  He was absolutely amazing.  On top of that, the Sabres were still wearing their classic uniforms.  They really should go back to those uniforms.

Brandi Carlile is one of my favourite musicians.  I could listen to her sing for hours on end.

I admit it.  I enjoy Kelly Clarkson‘s music.

DC United are my favourite MLS side, and have been since the league opened.  I have an authentic, personalised home jersey that was my self-gifted reward for completing the 5K distance for the first time.

Dilbert is my favourite comic strip ever.

Flickr is an awesome photo-sharing Web site.  I enjoy sharing my work and admiring the works of others, some of whom have become my friends.

The Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show keeps me giggling in the morning on my way to work.  My favourite segment is “What Hot Wings Thinks“.

Gazelle Sports is my running outfitter.  It’s an amazing store staffed by amazing people.

I’m a member of the Kalamazoo Area Runners.  There are some pretty great people in the group.  They help keep me motivated, for sure.

Krystal makes delicious little square burgers.  I stop at the first one across the Alabama state line every time I drive down to visit my parents.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are my MLB team of choice.  They have the very best uniforms in all of baseball.

Michigan Highways is an incredible resource for historical information about Michigan roads.

I work for the Michigan Department of Transportation.  It’s a great job; at the end of the day, I know I’m helping to make Michigan communities better places to live, work, and play.  That’s a great feeling.

I drive a Saturn.  I toured the factory where American workers assembled Victoria, my 2003 Ion.  I really hope that Saturn is still around 3 years from now.
