Running

It’s pretty safe to say that I will never be a fantastic runner. Fortunately, that’s not why I run. I run to work off stress. I run to work off weight. I run so I can eat more. I run so I can drink frou-frou caramel mocha coffee. I run because I can. Gazelle Sports is my outfitter of choice. They have the right gear, and the right people to help me find it (and to look fashionable while wearing it).

I’m not going to race nearly as much this year as I did in 2009, but here are the results so far.

  1. April 24 – Borgess Run for the Health of It half marathon – 1:48:39.62
  2. May 15 – Oaklawn Hospitality Classic 10k – 45:58
  3. May 27 – Girls on the Run 5k (non-competitive) – roughly 34:00
  4. May 31 – Run to Climax 7k (ran but did not race) – 42:51
  5. June 19 – Higgins Lake Sunrise Run half marathon – 1:45:57
  6. June 27 – Humana Race to Taste 5k (ran but did not race) – 32:17
  7. July 3 – Schoolcraft Firecracker 5-Miler – 37:51
