Running

It’s pretty safe to say that I will never be a fantastic runner. Fortunately, that’s not why I run. I run to work off stress. I run to work off weight. I run so I can eat more. I run so I can drink frou-frou lattes. I run because I can. Gazelle Sports is my outfitter of choice. They have the right gear, and the right people to help me find it (and to look fashionable while wearing it).

Here’s my planned race schedule for 2012:

  • January 21, Icebreaker Indoor Half Marathon — withdrew due to injury
  • March 24, Kal-Haven Trail Relay — 4:49:10.6, team finished 11th of 51 3- to 6-person co-ed teams
  • April 22, Glass City Half Marathon — 1:53:03
  • May 6, Toronto Goodlife Half Marathon
  • August 17-18, Ragnar Relay-Great River
  • October 21, Detroit Free Press Half Marathon
